The reason why this seems so easy is because it is easy. Obviously people want to live happy and some people claim to do it themselves, however, most of us don’t have the life we dream of. Positive thinking is the key to happiness, especially if you are one of the millions of people who suffer with anxiety. Negative thinking. When you dwell on negative thoughts then you suffer. When you spend time worrying about something, like a job interview or the tax return you must file, then you suffer. All thought has energy, whether it is positive or not, but positive thought is a force which can generate positive action. Before you start to worry yourself out, try thinking a positive thought. Positive Thinking: Positive thinking, it can be simple, it can be complicated. A good place to start is to remember that every single thought you have has an energy. Every thought can be either good or bad. Sadly, many of us choose to be negative, all of the time. This can of course be linked to things like stress, anxiety and depression. However, there is a thing called the law of attraction. The law of attraction states that “Like attracts like.” This means that if you put thought into things that you want then it will become part of your life. This means that if you worry too much about something, like a job interview, that you will end up suffering on the day. However, if you are positive then you will find that you go into that interview more relaxed and that you will be better able to think clearly. This means you are better able to put your best foot forward. Happiness: Let’s face it, we all moan about our feelings a lot. However, not many of us actually do something about it. We moan to each other and then we think the world sucks. Well, guess what? The world does suck, at the moment. However, we try to not be sucked into the negativity. We take other peoples negativity into our own because it is human nature. However, when you stop and think about it, if you think about things which make you happy then your mind will start to be happy too. So, if you make a list of all the things that make you happy then you have made the first step. Now, all you need to do is keep that list on your fridge or your desk and turn it into a habit. Write a list of 5 things every day which make you happy. It can be as easy as flowers and a’ bit of sunshine. You may even find it rewarding to see that you have made that list, feel nice, and then go out and buy the flowers. Do this every day for a week and see if you will notice a difference. Thinking about happiness: We are programmed to think that the world is a dark place and that bad things will happen to us. The reality is that bad things do happen to all of us and it is only when we have them do we realize that they are bad. However, when you do have a problem, whether it is large or small, if you over analyze it or dwell on it then you will suffer. When you are feeling bad then there are two things you can do. You can focus on the problem or you can focus on the solution. If you focus on the solution, you will find solutions. All problems have a solution and all you need to do is seek them out. Think about the problem and then work out what you could have done differently or what you did wrong. These things can then be worked on so that you then improve on yourself. Do some Yoga, or exercise, or concentrate in new things then negative and stress automatically disappear. Yoga can do everyone including yoga in pregnancy too.
